Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities across AWS-first infrastructure.

You’ll build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD tooling, and data workflow systems, collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and security teams to ship production-grade data products safely and efficiently.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps/platform engineering/SRE
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services (Glue, Athena, S3)
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform and/or CDK)
• Strong CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS, Kubernetes)
• Observability systems design for data and platform services
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and/or CDK.
• Own the observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and pipeline templates.
• Manage container infrastructure (Docker and ECS/EKS).
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow) including upgrades and scaling.
• Build AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion.
• Drive security practices: secrets management, IAM, networking, compliance.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and security teams.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and post-mortem improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct reviews.
