Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform on a hybrid basis. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first) and CI/CD tooling to enable data teams to ship data products faster.

You will design observability, manage container infrastructure, and operate data workflows using MWAA/Airflow or Step Functions, with a focus on security and scalability across the data lake

Formación

• 5+ years of DevOps/platform engineering or SRE experience.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and Athena views.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Own observability stack with metrics, logs, and alerts (CloudWatch/Datadog).
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate MWAA/Airflow or Step Functions for workflows, with scaling and reliability hardening.
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) on S3 data lake.
• Drive security practices: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
• Mentor engineers, review code/design, and contribute to architecture decisions.
