Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities across AWS, building CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or CDK.

You’ll work across data engineers and security teams to implement scalable, secure data solutions. You will design and operate data workflows, manage containers and orchestration, and drive incident

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep AWS core services knowledge (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
• Experience with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3 data services.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Observability systems design: metrics, logging, tracing, alerts.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Own observability stack for data pipelines and ensure SLA compliance.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates.
• Manage container and compute infra to support data services.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingest.
• Drive security best practices and least-privilege access.
• Collaborate with data teams to translate requirements into scalable infra.
• Lead incident response and perform post-mortems.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
