Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities in an AWS-first environment.

You'll own CI/CD, Terraform/CDK-based infrastructure, and the observability stack while helping data engineers ship high-quality data products safely and efficiently.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on experience with Glue, Athena, and S3 data lifecycle features.
• Proficiency with Terraform and/or AWS CDK for production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design observability systems (metrics/logging/tracing) for data/platform services.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own the observability stack with metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure SLA compliance.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling, templates, and shared libraries for rapid pipeline deployment.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure for data ingestion microservices.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) including upgrades and scaling.
• Develop and maintain Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
• Drive security best practices: Secrets Manager, least privilege IAM, network segmentation.
• Collaborate with data teams to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and mentor junior engineers.
