Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role combines platform engineering with data infrastructure to ensure reliable, automated data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain AWS-first cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling for data engineers. You will shape the observability stack, manage container and compute infrastructure, and contribute to architecture decisions while mentoring junior

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps or SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep AWS experience across core services and data tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC.
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts for data pipelines.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and templates.
• Manage container/infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (Airflow, MWAA).
• Develop AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale ingestion.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems; mentor juniors.
