Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform, a hybrid role bridging platform engineering and data infrastructure. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities in an AWS-first environment.

You will design CI/CD pipelines for ETL jobs, build cloud infrastructure with Terraform/AWS CDK, and manage observability for data workflows. Collaboration with data science and security teams is essential.

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with ≥2 years data engineering.
• Deep AWS expertise: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
• IaC with Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Observability systems: metrics, logging, tracing, alerts.
• Strong communication to translate ops concerns into clear trade-offs.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure with IaC (Terraform/AWS CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts for SLA compliance.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable pipelines.
• Manage container infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion and orchestration.
• Operate MWAA/Airflow environments, including scaling and upgrades.
• Build/maintain Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
• Enforce security best practices: Secrets, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
• Collaborate with teams to translate requirements into scalable infra solutions.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems to drive improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code/design reviews.
