AgileEngine in Mendoza, Argentina, is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases. This hands-on role focuses on database administration, performance, security, and reliability, not data engineering.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with MS SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, plus experience with AWS RDS/Aurora and IaC. You will work closely with engineers, plan disaster recovery with zero data loss, and optimize

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with MS SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS (RDS/Aurora).
• PowerShell or Python programming.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams.
• Experience administering high-availability production systems.
• Experience performing disaster recoveries.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan for and carry out disaster recovery, ensuring zero data loss in case of disaster.
• Keep database systems secure, including access control, and adhere to security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance, and diagnose difficult performance issues.
• Work closely with engineers on system design, performance tuning and technical support.
• Operate hands-on in an extremely technical environment, administering the data systems that support the website.
• Stay composed under pressure and navigate extremely stressful situations.
