AgileEngine in Argentina is seeking a Database Administrator to manage high-availability production databases, primarily SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, with Terraform, Python/PowerShell, and Kafka. This hands-on role focuses on performance, security, and reliability in a fast-paced, engineering-led environment.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, implement disaster recovery plans, monitor performance, and ensure data integrity while working with AWS RDS/Aurora.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS, particularly RDS and Aurora.
• Programming with PowerShell or Python.
• IaC with Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent) administration & troubleshooting.
• Performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience with high-availability production systems.
• Disaster recovery experience.
• Upper-intermediate English.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high availability of production database systems.
• Plan for and carry out disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Keep database systems secure with access controls.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design, tuning and support.
• Operate hands-on in a technical environment supporting the site.
• Stay composed under pressure.
