AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases, working closely with engineering teams. This is a hands‑on DBA role focused on database administration, performance, security, and reliability—not Data Engineering.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years hands-on DBA experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• AWS, especially RDS and Aurora, required.
• PowerShell or Python programming.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Performance analysis and tuning experience.
• High-availability production systems expertise.
• English level: upper-intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and ensure strong performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss where possible.
• Ensure database security, access control, and adherence to protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose complex issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on design, performance, and support.
• Hands-on administration of data systems supporting critical applications.
• Stay composed under pressure in a technical environment.
