AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases in a hands-on role. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure performance, reliability and security across mission-critical data systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with MS SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS/Aurora, PowerShell or Python, and IaC tools like Terraform, plus Kafka expertise and upper-intermediate English.

Formación

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS, particularly RDS and Aurora.
• Programming experience with PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform.
• Experience with Kafka (Confluent Kafka).
• Extensive experience with performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience working with engineering teams and delivering on deadlines.
• Experience administering high-availability production systems.
• Experience performing disaster recoveries.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and ensure performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Secure databases, manage access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design, tuning and support.
• Operate hands-on in a highly technical environment supporting data systems.
• Remain calm under pressure in demanding situations.
