AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases. This hands-on role focuses on database administration, performance, security, and reliability, not data engineering.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS/Aurora, and programming in PowerShell or Python. Terraform and Confluent Kafka experience are required, with an upper-intermediate English level.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• AWS, especially RDS and Aurora.
• Programming with PowerShell or Python.
• Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Performance tuning and high-availability/disaster-recovery proficiency.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and optimize performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss where possible.
• Secure databases, manage access control, and enforce security policies.
• Analyze and tune database performance, diagnosing complex issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design, tuning, and support.
• Hands-on administration of data systems supporting the website.
• Remain composed under pressure in a highly technical environment.
