Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities on an AWS-first stack.

Build CI/CD for ETL jobs, manage AWS Glue, Athena, and S3 resources, and drive observability and security across the data platform. You'll collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and security to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure, mentor junior

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering or SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep AWS experience including S3, Glue, Athena and data lake patterns.
• Proficiency with IaC (Terraform/CDK) and CI/CD tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based data platform infrastructure (S3, Glue, Athena).
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts and incident response for pipelines.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable templates for data engineers.
• Manage containerized services (Docker, ECS/EKS, or Lambda) for data ingestion.
• Operate workflow engines (MWAA/Airflow) including scaling and upgrades.
• Ensure security best practices: IAM, secrets, network segmentation.
• Collaborate with data scientists and security teams on requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers; participate in reviews and architecture decisions.
