Job summary

AgileEngine, a leader in software solutions for Fortune 500 brands, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to operate and optimize a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare setting. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, implement dbt models, and ensure data quality across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION zones.

You will collaborate with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, and Security teams, mentor engineers, and participate in an on-call rotation while working 9am-6pm PT.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on Snowflake design, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL and dbt for transformation, testing, and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR data ingestion and pipelines.
• AWS data services, especially S3, with event- or file-based ingestion.
• Orchestration with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes.
• Python or similar for engineering and automation.
• Data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, backfills, and data quality.
• Observability, logging, alerts, and incident-management.
• Lead incidents, perform RCA, and drive preventive actions.
• Decision-making and cross-team collaboration.
• Mentor engineers with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, Governance, stakeholders.
• Strong English; client-facing availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm hours.
• Operate Snowflake production/non-production environments and monitor performance.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit readiness.
• Oversee data ingestion via Fivetran/HVR and custom pipelines.
• Design and maintain dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION with tests and lineage.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate Argo Workflows and Kubernetes workloads with Cloud/DevOps.
• Define data quality and observability standards with checks.
• Lead major data incidents, perform RCA, and preventive actions.
• Contribute to Tableau Cloud operations when needed.
• Drive standardization, automation, reliability, and cost improvements.
• Operate through ITSM processes and maintain runbooks.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and ensure smooth handoffs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents.
