Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and optimize a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare setting. You will own end-to-end data ingestion, modeling, and quality across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers while collaborating with Cloud/DevOps and Analytics teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of data engineering, strong Snowflake and dbt experience, and hands-on work with Fivetran or HVR, plus Python and AWS data services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong Snowflake expertise including data-layer design and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with dbt for transformation, testing, documentation, lineage, and deployments.
• Experience operating managed ingestion tools such as Fivetran or HVR and supporting custom data-ingestion pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage window and L2/L3 escalation.
• Operate and improve Snowflake production and non-production environments with config and performance tuning.
• Administer data access with least- privilege controls and credential rotation.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines with scheduling and failure recovery.
• Design and maintain reliable pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers with tests, docs, and CI/CD.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations, including lifecycle and retention controls, access patterns, and logging.
• Collaborate with Cloud/DevOps and Analytics teams to ensure reliability and on-call readiness.
