AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will lead data ingestion, curve the data model, and ensure high data quality and observability across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers.

The role emphasizes hands-on Snowflake, dbt, and ingestion tooling, with a strong focus on incident resolution, cross-functional collaboration, and English communication for client-facing work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on Snowflake experience including data-layer design and performance.
• Advanced SQL skills and dbt experience for transformation and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on AWS data services, especially S3 and ingestion patterns.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes and related tooling.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Strong data modeling, validation, and production data quality practices.
• Experience with observability, logging, and incident-management.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage.
• Operate Snowflake production and non-production environments and monitor performance.
• Administer data access with least-privilege and audit-ready controls.
• Oversee data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
• Design and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps on Argo/Kubernetes workloads.
• Define data quality and observability standards and implement runbooks.
• Lead major data incidents and drive incident post-mortems and improvements.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across teams.
• Participate in Data Platform on-call rotations and remote work flexibility.
