Job summary

Outlier is seeking a Senior Data Engineer focused on marketing data to join a remote, async-friendly team. You will own end-to-end data pipelines linking paid media platforms to a central warehouse, then feed Looker Studio dashboards and automated reports for education and nonprofit clients.

You bring 5+ years of data engineering, strong SQL and BigQuery skills, and expertise in dbt/Dataform with CRM integrations. The role offers high visibility and impact across multiple campaigns and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data engineering, preferably in marketing/agency.
• Experience configuring datastreams, transformations, and destinations in Adverity or similar ETL platforms.
• Strong SQL with BigQuery transformation, partitioning, and modeling experience.
• Expertise in dbt or Dataform managing modular SQL pipelines.
• Python proficiency for API connections and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion & pipeline architecture connecting paid media platforms to Adverity and beyond.
• Own CRM integration ensuring lead/enrollment data flows into the warehouse.
• Own the data warehouse in Google BigQuery with efficient schemas and cost controls.
• Own transformation & mapping with modular dbt/Dataform pipelines and standardized metric definitions.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and enforce data segregation across clients.
• Enable reporting by building fast Looker Studio dashboards and Google Sheets reports.
• Drive data quality through monitoring, validation, and root-cause troubleshooting.
