Coderio designs and delivers scalable digital solutions for global companies. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data platforms handling financial data, leveraging Python, SQL, Spark, and AWS.

You will collaborate across teams, implement DataOps, govern data privacy, and mentor engineers. This remote-first role offers on-site opportunities and growth within Coderio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering or related software roles.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; Scala/Java a plus.
• Experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architectures.
• AWS data services expertise (S3, Glue, Athena, EventBridge, Firehose, Lambda).
• Familiarity with Airflow or similar DAG tools and Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery.
• Strong DataOps, Git, CI/CD, IaC and cloud platforms.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency batch and streaming data pipelines to ingest and process financial transactions from diverse global sources.
• Scale and optimize cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures capable of handling massive volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Implement and enforce data quality frameworks, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data integrity and high availability.
• Drive the adoption of DataOps practices, including CI/CD, workflow automation, and Infrastructure as Code for data systems.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and security standards including GDPR/LGPD compliance.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level Data Engineers, promoting engineering excellence.
