Job summary

Coderio seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms handling large financial datasets. You will work across data pipelines, warehouses, and governance, leveraging Python, SQL, Spark, and AWS to deliver reliable systems.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to translate business needs into robust data solutions, while mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices in a fast-paced, remote-first

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; Scala/Java a plus.
• Hands-on with Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and modern lakehouse architectures.
• Strong AWS data services knowledge (S3, Glue, Athena, EventBridge, Firehose, Lambda).
• Experience with Airflow and data warehousing (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• English proficiency required for technical and non-technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput data pipelines for financial data.
• Design, scale, and optimize cloud data warehouse/lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and PMs to translate needs into solutions.
• Implement data quality, automated testing, monitoring, and alerts for data integrity.
• Drive DataOps with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code for data systems.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and GDPR/LGPD compliance.
• Mentor junior/mid-level Data Engineers and promote engineering excellence.
