Job summary

Coderio is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms for global financial data. You will work with Python, SQL, Spark, and AWS to implement high-throughput pipelines and modern lakehouse architectures.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers, driving DataOps practices, data governance, and secure data storage while mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and production-grade data systems.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data processing and software development.
• Hands-on with Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake and modern lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda) and data warehousing tools (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• Experience designing real-time streaming architectures (Kafka/Kinesis) and data transformation tooling (dbt).
• Strong DevOps/DataOps knowledge (Git, Docker, CI/CD, IaC) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Advanced English proficiency for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines for financial data.
• Design and optimize cloud data warehouse/lakehouse architectures for massive data volumes.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to translate needs into scalable data solutions.
• Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting; ensure data integrity and SLA compliance.
• Drive DataOps adoption, including CI/CD, workflow automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and security, including GDPR/LGPD compliance.
• Mentor junior and mid-level Data Engineers and promote best practices.
