Job summary

Coderio is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable data platforms handling large financial datasets. You will develop high-throughput data pipelines, architect lakehouse solutions, and partner with data scientists and product teams to deliver reliable insights at scale.

The role emphasizes DataOps practices, data governance, and mentoring junior engineers, with a fully remote setup and collaboration with an international engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or related software roles.
• Strong Python and SQL for data processing and software development.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architectures.
• AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda) experience.
• Familiarity with Airflow or similar DAG-based tools and Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift.
• Knowledge of DevOps/DataOps practices, Git, CI/CD, IaC, and AWS/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput data pipelines for financial transactions.
• Scale cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures for large volumes of data.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, and alerting; ensure data reliability and SLAs.
• Promote DataOps, including CI/CD and IaC for data systems.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and GDPR/LGPD compliance.
• Mentor junior/mid-level data engineers.
