Job summary

Coderio is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms handling large volumes of financial and transactional data. You will work remotely from Argentina and collaborate with international teams on data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and data governance.

You should bring 5+ years in data engineering, strong Python/SQL, Spark, AWS, and dbt experience, plus hands-on knowledge of Airflow, Kafka/Kinesis, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade data platforms and pipelines.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency for complex data processing and software development.
• Hands-on experience with Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and modern lakehouse architectures.
• Expertise with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena) and related ETL/streaming tools.
• Experience with Airflow and DAG-based orchestration; Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery exposure.
• Knowledge of DevOps/DataOps practices, CI/CD, and IaC (Terraform).
• Advanced English proficiency for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency batch and streaming data pipelines to ingest and process financial transactions from diverse sources.
• Design, scale, and optimize cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures for massive structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data integrity and SLA adherence.
• Drive DataOps adoption, including CI/CD, workflow automation, and Infrastructure as Code for data systems.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and security standards across storage and compute layers (GDPR/LGPD).
• Mentor junior and mid-level Data Engineers to promote best practices and modern architectures.
