Job summary

Coderio is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms handling large volumes of financial data. You will work with Python, SQL, Spark, and AWS, building production-grade pipelines and lakehouse architectures.

Candidates must reside in Argentina, Brazil, or Uruguay and enjoy a remote-first, globally collaborative environment with strong DataOps and governance practices. You will mentor others and contribute to modern architectural patterns.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering or related Software Engineering roles with production data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput batch and streaming data pipelines for financial transactions.
• Design and optimize cloud data warehouse/lakehouse architectures for massive data volumes.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to translate needs into scalable data solutions.
• Implement data quality frameworks, testing, monitoring, and alerting for data integrity and SLAs.
• Drive DataOps practices, including CI/CD, workflow automation, and IaC for data systems.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and security including GDPR/LGPD compliance.
• Mentor junior/mid-level Data Engineers and share best practices.
