Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin to drive the commercial strategy, manage cross-functional teams, and win opportunities through technical excellence and disciplined execution.

You will lead the full sales cycle, engage with operators such as YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol and Capex, and collaborate with engineering, operations and product lines to deliver high‑quality service and value.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, motors, RSS, or BHA optimization.
• Strong wellbore data interpretation, drilling KPIs & performance drivers.
• Experience with operators in Vaca Muerta or shale basins.
• Proven ability to manage technical sales cycles and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication translating technical information into commercial value.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical scoping, pricing, proposals, and negotiations.
• Build relationships with key operators (YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, Capex) and drilling contractors.
• Deliver technical presentations and post-well analyses to demonstrate value.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, RSS.
• Support tender submissions, commercial models, and contract renewals; maintain CRM pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE and company standards.
