Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin. You will drive the commercial strategy, manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-value drilling solutions.

You will engage with operators like YPF and other drilling contractors, translate technical data into commercial value, and collaborate with operations and product lines to ensure service excellence and long-term

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, motors, RSS, or BHA optimization.
• Strong understanding of wellbore data interpretation and drilling KPIs.
• Experience with operators in shale basins (e.g., Vaca Muerta) or similar regions.
• Proven ability to manage technical sales cycles and influence engineering/procurement stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills translating technical data into commercial value.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, scoping, pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation.
• Build and maintain relationships with key operators and drilling contractors.
• Deliver technical presentations, reviews, and post-well analyses to demonstrate value.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality.
• Identify cross-sell/upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, and RSS.
• Support tender submissions and contract renewals; maintain CRM pipelines.
