Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and data infrastructure, owning cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling for data pipelines.

Expect work across AWS Glue, Athena, S3, and ML-ready data products while improving developer experience. You will design pipelines, manage IaC, and contribute to secure, scalable data platforms.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE, with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue ETL, Athena, and S3 lifecycle/encryption.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform and/or CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Design and operate observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting).
• Excellent communication and ability to translate operations to engineering trade-offs.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform and/or CDK).
• Own observability stack for data pipelines: metrics, logs, alerts.
• Develop DataOps platform tooling, templates, and libraries for production pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for data ingestion and transformation.
• Drive security practices: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
• Collaborate with data teams to translate requirements into scalable infra solutions.
• Lead incident response and mentor junior engineers.
