Job summary

Assurant seeks a Senior BI Analyst to design and deliver Power BI dashboards and data insights across the Claims organization. You will lead data modeling, SQL development, and analytics programs to empower strategic decisions and improve reporting capabilities.

The role emphasizes stakeholder collaboration, automation opportunities, and mentorship for junior analysts, with a focus on expanding advanced analytics capabilities and forecasting support.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Advanced SQL skills with experience querying, transforming, validating, and analyzing data from multiple sources.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting and analytics solutions.
• Experience working with data warehouses, semantic models, and enterprise reporting environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business objectives.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key performance indicators.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and reporting processes to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Identify and implement reporting automation opportunities that improve efficiency, increase data accuracy, and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver reporting and analytics solutions.
• Lead reporting and analytical projects through requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support forecasting, predictive analytics, and other advanced analytics initiatives as business needs evolve.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior analysts and other team members as needed.
