Prometeo Talent is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a fast-growing US-based cybersecurity startup. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems in Java and Python, with a focus on distributed architectures and AI-assisted workflows.

This 100% remote role offers LATAM flexibility, strong ownership, and opportunities to impact product evolution. You will work with a highly technical team, leverage Docker/Kubernetes in production, and contribute to secure, scalable solutions

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ years with Python, building production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based development and AI agent workflows.
• Experience with distributed systems, scalable architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Ownership mindset and ability to thrive in startup/fast-paced environments.
• Advanced English level

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, message queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features and services from design to monitoring and optimization.
