Darwoft in LATAM seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to drive AI-native development for an M&A SaaS platform. You’ll own architecture, navigate a large codebase, and push the velocity of production software using AI coding agents.

The role emphasizes ownership, pragmatism, and product focus while building robust systems with AI-assisted engineering in a remote, LATAM-wide setup.

Formación

• Strong experience building and operating production software systems.
• Excellent fundamentals: architecture, system design, debugging, testing, maintainability.
• Experience with large/complex codebases.
• Backend or full-stack with modern languages and frameworks.
• Experience building web apps and SaaS products.
• Strong understanding of APIs, data modeling and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and production data environments.
• Familiar with cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines and production operations.
• Ability to reason through trade-offs and make pragmatic architectural decisions.
• Strong ownership and ability to work independently in evolving product environments.
• Product mindset: understand not only how to build, but why it should be built.

Responsabilidades

• Navigate, understand, and evolve a large existing production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, architectural risks and reliability issues.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI coding agents throughout the lifecycle.
• Leverage AI agents to explore codebases, design implementations, generate and refactor code, debug issues, write tests, and accelerate delivery.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the stack when needed; strengthen testing, observability, reliability, and production readiness.
• Improve development workflows, tooling, automation, and engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application, data, and infrastructure layers.
