Darwoft, a Latin American remote-first tech company, seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to work on an AI-native, Claude Code–driven development platform for an AI-powered LegalTech/M&A SaaS product. You’ll navigate a large codebase, shape architecture, and drive production reliability.

You’ll collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems into technical solutions, improve testing and observability, and push for rapid yet maintainable delivery using AI agents across the

Qualifications

• Strong track record building and operating production software systems.
• Excellent fundamentals in architecture, system design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Strong backend or full-stack engineering with modern languages & frameworks.
• Experience building modern web apps and SaaS products.
• Understanding of APIs, architecture, integrations, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and production data environments.
• Familiar with CI/CD, cloud deployments, and production operations.
• Ability to reason about trade-offs and make pragmatic architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large existing production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, risks, reliability issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot or similar AI agents throughout development lifecycle.
• Leverage AI agents to explore codebases, generate/refactor code, and accelerate delivery.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the application stack and strengthen automated testing and production readiness.
• Improve development workflows, tooling, automation, and engineering practices.
