Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in a hybrid Córdoba, Argentina role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure on AWS and CI/CD tooling to empower data engineering teams.

You will design and operate data workflows using Glue, Athena, and S3, while ensuring security, observability, and efficient developer experience.

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle and security.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS, Kubernetes).
• Ability to design observability (metrics, logging, tracing, alerts) for data/platform services.

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts, SLA compliance.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Manage container infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data services.
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) with reliability hardening.
• Lead incident response and perform post-mortems.
