Qualifications

• 4+ years of debt collection and recoveries experience in retail banking, fintech, or DCA.
• Experience creating and documenting collections processes.
• Understanding of debt portfolio management, debt sales, and restructuring.
• Knowledge of local debt collection laws and regulations.
• Performance and relationship management with third-party providers.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity to automate improvements and drive efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a compliant and effective debt collections process.
• Ensure the collections process is efficient and compliant with applicable laws.
• Own end-to-end debt collections process for retail credit portfolios.
• Improve in-house and outsourced collection capability with technology, analytics, and strategic payment programs.
• Document policies and procedures for debt collection and recoveries.
• Develop collection strategies to optimise recoveries.
• Continuously improve collection processes, metrics, and tools.
• Select and oversee debt collection agencies (DCAs) to ensure SLA adherence.
