Job summary

Proofpoint seeks an experienced accounting professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role demands genuine technical accounting judgment, ability to investigate and resolve issues, and clear communication with customers.

The position requires working 8:00 AM–8:00 PM ET coverage with staggered shifts to align US business hours. Remote-based from Argentina with strong English skills and CPA/EA-friendly credentials

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with US accounting and taxation.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex tax and accounting inquiries independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and accounting transactions.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, and filing status questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate technical findings clearly via Zendesk and email-style ticket responses.
