Job summary

Wallbit is seeking an experienced Tax & Accounting Analyst to support a US-based company remotely, handling bookkeeping, tax returns, and financial reporting. The role requires EST-hour coverage and strong English communication in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

You will work with QuickBooks Desktop, ProSeries Desktop, and payroll tools, ensuring timely filings and accurate records while maintaining strict confidentiality. Strong accounting judgment and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional accounting experience with US accounting and taxation.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll and financial reporting.
• Experience handling complex tax inquiries and customer-facing support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and adapt to EST hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated tax and accounting tickets.
• Review discrepancies, reconciliations and postings; ensure accuracy.
• Assist with tax notices, filing statuses, and tax return questions within scope.
• Coordinate payroll questions and processing issues.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Learn proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows as the client evolves.
