Job summary

Opsarmy is seeking an experienced Level 2 Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to provide expert support on US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll. The role demands solid accounting judgment, strong tax knowledge, and the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues independently.

You will work remotely from Argentina, covering 8:00 AM–8:00 PM ET with shifts overlapping US business hours. CPA/EA qualifications are strongly preferred, and familiarity with proprietary platforms and

Qualifications

Professional accounting experience with US accounting and taxation.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
Experience handling complex tax and accounting inquiries and customer-facing financial support.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Ability to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.
Ability to learn proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations, and transactions.
Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, and filing questions; tax-return questions within scope.
Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
Communicate technical findings via Zendesk, email, and scheduled calls.
Independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with internal specialists.
Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
Identify recurring issues and improve workflows and knowledge resources.
