Job summary

Ryz Labs is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to manage technical SEO across multiple higher education partner sites. The role emphasizes building Claude-based tools and workflows to streamline audits, reporting, QA, and content production.

You will monitor GSC/GA4, craft dev-ready specs, and own AI-enabled search readiness, while collaborating with SEO leadership to scale the service across accounts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO, preferably in an agency or across multiple sites
• Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, redirects, and schema
• Advanced hands-on experience with Claude, including building agents and AI-assisted workflows
• Clear written communication and ability to spec fixes for developers and explain recommendations to clients
• Comfort owning outcomes across many accounts without waiting for direction

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort, and defend those calls
• Write dev-ready specs and follow through to fixes
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, plugin redirects, schema
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 for drops, errors, indexing problems
• Own readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO): crawler access, structured data, entity optimization
• Build scalable SEO systems and Claude-based tools for audits, reporting, QA
• Create content production systems turning briefs into near-publish-ready drafts
• Translate standards into reusable team-wide systems
• Connect Search Console, GA4, crawl exports, and Ahrefs/Semrush into workflows
• Document systems and train the team; measure impact
• Support team and client success as technical lead on calls
• Evaluate emerging search technologies and propose new tools and workflows
