Job summary

Tidal is seeking an experienced Level 2 Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to handle complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries from a remote location in Argentina. The role demands genuine technical accounting judgment, strong tax expertise, and the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.

Coverage includes 8:00 AM–8:00 PM ET with staggered US-hours alignment. You will work with proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows while communicating findings

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with US accounting and taxation.
• Experience with bookkeeping, tax return reviews, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Ability to handle complex tax and accounting inquiries and customer-facing support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, tech-driven environment with evolving workflows.
• Ability to learn proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US customer accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated tickets and directly assigned tax/accounting issues.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, tax notices, filing status questions, and tax return questions within scope.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate technical findings clearly via Zendesk, email-style responses, and scheduled calls.
• Independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Adapt to new internal systems as clients transition away from Zendesk.
• Learn and work with proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.
