Job summary

Tidal is seeking an experienced Level 2 Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to deliver specialized US accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll assistance remotely from Argentina. The role demands strong accounting judgment and the ability to resolve complex customer inquiries beyond scripted responses.

The candidate will handle escalations, review reconciliations, and communicate findings clearly via Zendesk and email, with coverage during US business hours. CPA/EA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional accounting experience with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return reviews, reconciliations, payroll and financial reporting.
• Experience handling complex tax inquiries and customer-facing financial support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to explain complex topics to non-technical customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate escalated issues and coordinate with internal specialists as needed.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and reconciliations.
• Assist customers with tax notices, filing status questions and tax return questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup and processing issues.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and improve workflows and knowledge resources.
