Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-profile commercial construction projects from a fully remote base, with sites around Sandton. The role requires exceptional leadership, financial acumen, and comprehensive knowledge of all phases of construction.

You will oversee project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure delivery on time and within budget in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years progressive experience in commercial construction project management.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale projects from inception to completion.
• Expertise in project management software, financial control, risk management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate remote teams effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and timely completion.
• Oversee contract administration, negotiation, and subcontractor management.
• Implement health, safety, and quality control programs across all project sites.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide strategic direction and mentorship to project teams.
