Placements24 is seeking a Principal Mechanical Systems Engineer for a fully remote role, ideally connected to the Sandton area. This senior position requires a visionary leader to architect and oversee complex mechanical systems across the product lifecycle.

You will set technical standards, tackle the most challenging engineering problems, mentor teams, and collaborate with executives to shape the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience leading mechanical systems projects.
• Expertise in system architecture, reliability design, and integration.
• Strong CAD/CAE, simulation, and data analysis expertise.
• Excellent communication and remote leadership skills.

Responsibilities
