Job summary

Homeward, a remote-first real estate startup, seeks a Senior Back-end Engineer to build customer-centric features in partnership with real estate agents. This long-term contract role requires candidates based in Latin America and strong Python/backend experience.

You will design, implement, and test backend components, work with AI productivity tools, and help scale integrations with LLM APIs while collaborating with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficient in Python and web backend frameworks.
• Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous tasks, and databases.
• Familiar with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with AI productivity tools and LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools in agile environment.
• Write automated unit and integration tests to support CI pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and flexibility.
• Understand the SDLC and methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Prototype MVPs and collaborate with seniors to craft technical vision.
