Prometeo Talent is partnering with a US-based cybersecurity startup to hire a Senior Backend Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python, with a strong emphasis on distributed systems and AI-assisted development workflows.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software engineering, 5+ years Python, Java expertise, and a proactive ownership mindset. This 100% remote role offers LATAM flexibility and the chance to influence product technology

Competenze

• 8+ years of software engineering or backend development experience.
• 5+ years of professional Python experience, building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based application development (AI agents, agentic systems, or LLM-powered applications).
• Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows in production environments is highly preferred.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Take full ownership of features and services throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to monitoring and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency across the platform.
