Prometeo Talent is partnering with a US-based cybersecurity startup to hire a Senior Backend Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Java and Python, owning features end-to-end with a strong ownership mindset in a fast-paced startup.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in software engineering, experience with Docker/Kubernetes, AI-augmented development, and advanced English. This is 100% remote from LATAM with high impact on product growth.

Formación

• 8+ years of software engineering/backend experience.
• 5+ years with Python and production backend systems.
• Strong Java experience.
• Hands-on AI/LLM-based application development in production.
• Experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, and messaging.
• Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Ownership mindset and startup/or fast-paced environment thrive.
• Advanced English level.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems with databases, APIs, queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features from design to monitoring and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems focusing on reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate requirements into solutions.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and efficiency across the platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery with quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and key technical decisions.
• Continuously improve development processes and standards.
