Silver is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems in a remote LATAM-friendly setting. The role focuses on Java and Python, distributed architectures, and AI-assisted development workflows to boost productivity without compromising quality.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in backend, strong Java and Python experience, and hands-on AI/LLM development. You will own features end-to-end, collaborating with a fast-moving team in a startup cybersecurity

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ professional experience with Python, building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based application development.
• Experience building AI-driven features and integrations in production.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Proven experience building and maintaining products after launch.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to thrive in startup environments.
• Advanced English level.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, message queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features through their lifecycle from design to monitoring and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems with reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency across the platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and influence key technical decisions as the company scales.
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
