Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both automated and manual testing across desktop and mobile apps. You will build regression scripts, validate features, and drive quality throughout the SDLC while collaborating with product, development, and customer-facing teams.

The role emphasizes CI/CD integration, real-time debugging, and test data management in a dynamic fintech environment. Remote work is available globally.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation and manual/exploratory testing.
• CI/CD pipelines experience, e.g., GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and React Native apps, including on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
