Job summary

AgileEngine seeks an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications. You will build regression tests, integrate into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure quality across the SDLC.

You will write Gherkin scenarios, collaborate with product and developers, and participate in on-call rotations. This role offers USD-based compensation, flextime, and remote/office options.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS/Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and elevate risks to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repos, run scripts, and enable automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
