Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop/mobile test automation and manual testing. You will build regression suites, validate features, and ensure quality across the SDLC in a remote, globally distributed team.

The role requires 4+ years in QA automation, experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO + Appium, CI/CD integration, and familiarity with AI QA tools. Remote-friendly, competitive USD compensation, and ongoing learning opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation and hands-on manual/exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including real devices.
• Experience with AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy against criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior and test results.
• Identify and elevate risks to quality of product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and releases.
• Coordinate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback into testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and effort estimation for planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repos and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
