Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, combining automation with selective manual testing. You will build, maintain, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines while investigating failures and ensuring fast, reliable feedback.

You will work with developers to improve testability, perform functional and exploratory testing, and apply AI tools to QA processes. A strong focus on real devices and cross-platform apps is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS/Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their outputs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
