Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated testing for desktop and mobile applications. You will build and maintain regression suites, run functional and exploratory testing, and collaborate with developers to ensure testability across the SDLC.

Responsibilities include integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, investigating failures, and ensuring high-quality releases. Remote-friendly roles and AI-assisted QA practices are part of the workflow.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
