AgileEngine is seeking a Full Stack Tech Lead to guide a squad and build backend services with Java and Spring Boot, supported by an Angular frontend. You will drive technical execution, design robust APIs, and shape the architecture toward domain-driven design.

Lead with a backend-heavy mindset, mentor juniors, foster Agile practices, and push for best practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams; remote-friendly contractor role offering flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership as Tech Lead or Squad Lead with mentoring experience.
• 6+ years of Java (Spring Boot) and Angular experience.
• Hands-on Kafka experience.
• Strong OOAD, design patterns and architectural awareness.
• Deep domain-driven design with bounded contexts.
• Experience building RESTful services with standard APIs.
• Relational DB experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle; JPA/Hibernate.
• Backend-focused mindset with strong software engineering practices.
• Upper-intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Squad Lead, driving the team to deliver on commitments with high engineering standards.
• Design and implement robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain the Angular frontend to ensure seamless UI-backend integration.
• Lead architecture modernization toward domain-driven design and bounded contexts.
• Architect RESTful APIs with clean, scalable patterns and proper HTTP usage.
• Mentor team members and promote Agile practices to grow engineering skills.
• Push back when needed to protect architectural integrity and best practices.
