Qualifications

• Healthcare background required (Medical Assistant, Medical Admin, Nurse Assistant, Medical VA, or similar).
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Athena, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, etc.).
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Advanced English (written & spoken).
• High attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Reliable high-speed internet and quiet workspace.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and manage provider calendars.
• Communicate with patients via phone, email, and patient portals.
• Update and maintain EMR/EHR records.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with authorizations.
• Support billing, claims follow-up, and documentation.
• Prepare intake forms, medical reports, and correspondence.
• Coordinate between providers, staff, and patients.
• Follow HIPAA and U.S. healthcare compliance standards.
